Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Woodard Eye Care the leading provider of vision care products and services in Graham.


Dr. D. Reid Woodard

Dr. Woodard attended public schools in Alamance County and graduated from Graham High School. He continued his education at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Following two years working as a Registered Pharmacist, Dr. Woodard journeyed to Philadelphia to complete a Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He established his private practice of Optometry in 1986 with a devotion to comprehensive and quality vision care to each patient. His credits include co-authoring the HANDBOOK OF DRUGS IN PRIMARY EYE CARE, first and second edition.

Dr. Woodard is married to the former Jill Ivey Foust of Graham, and they have five children. Their interests include family and church activities, skiing and water sports.

Dr. Robert (Robbie) Woodard

Dr. Robbie Woodard is a Graham native, where he attended Southern Alamance High School playing football and basketball. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Dr. Robbie Woodard obtained his Doctor of Optometry in 2016 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry located in Philadelphia, PA. During his fourth year of Optometry school, Dr. Woodard completed his training in Wilmington, NC, Charleston, SC, and Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Woodard received clinical honors in all his clinical externships, which included primary care, contact lens, ocular disease, hospital/ VA, and advanced pediatrics/ vision therapy. Dr. Woodard’s clinical interest includes comprehensive exams for all ages, treatment and management of ocular diseases, and contact lens fitting and evaluations. Dr. Woodard also has an interest in Scleral and Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) lenses for patients with irregular corneas.

Dr. Robbie is a member of the North Carolina Optometric Society, as well as the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Woodard is married to Mrs. Janice Woodard, who is a Physician Assistant. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife, and three kids.


Dr. Ivey W. Caison

Dr. Caison is a Graham native, where she attended Southern Alamance High School. She continued her education at East Carolina University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health with a Concentration in Pre-Health Profession. She was actively involved in her sorority, Chi Omega, where she held two leadership roles during her time at ECU. She also enjoyed raising awareness and fundraising for the Make-A-Wish Foundation for children with life-threatening illnesses.

Dr. Caison followed in her father and brother’s footsteps and attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry to obtain her Doctor of Optometry. She completed her clinical training in Philadelphia, PA, Durham, NC, Raleigh, NC, and Salisbury, NC. She graduated in 2022 and received Clinical Honors in her training in Ocular Disease, Hospital/VA, Contact lenses, and Primary Care.

Dr. Caison’s goal as an Optometrist is to provide her patients with quality vision care through comprehensive eye exams. Her clinical interests include comprehensive exams for all ages, treatment and management of ocular diseases, and contact lens evaluation and fitting.

Dr. Caison is married to Drew Caison, and they have a little girl, Andi. She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, family and friends, and going to the beach and lake during the summer.
